Truth Doesn’t Hold Your Hand

You want to cry now? After choosing to believe?

After handing out pieces and calling it love?

They took everything because you offered it all.

And now you rage at an empty sky.

You knew it wasn’t yours, the smile, the body, the time.

But you played pretend and paid the price.

You don’t lose what you never had,

You just wake up with blood on your pride.

Scream at the stars, they won’t answer.

Beg the gods, they don’t barter.

This isn’t heartbreak, it’s exposure.

You saw the truth and still let it kiss you.

So don’t whimper now, warrior.

You knew it was fake, but you prayed it would stay.

This is what happens when you fight illusions.

You bleed, and they vanish anyway.
